IT’S TIME TO MOUNT UP!

The Riders of Icarus Open Beta is now live and available for all playersbuy Riders of Icarus gold to PLAY FOR FREE! Ready yourselves, assemble your best gear, and tame the most fearsome beasts of Hakanas!

As a Rider with legendary combat abilities, you will explore a majestic world full of wild beasts and powerful foes. Master the skills of aerial combat with other battle-ready heroes as you fight your way through buy Icarus gold  an epic experience filled with massive boss battles in both land and air!

DOWNLOAD AND PLAY

If you haven’t pre-downloaded Riders of Icarus, you can download the game now by following the instructions below.

For PREVIOUS Closed Beta participants:

• Load the Nexon Global Platform and log in to your Nexon Account.
• Click on the ALL GAMES button on the top navigation bar.
• Select Riders of Icarus on the bottom bar, then click on GAME PAGE.
• Click DOWNLOAD and the game will install any updates. When done, you can then click PLAY and take flight!

For NEW players (Nexon Global Platform):

• Install the Nexon Global Platform by clicking HERE.
• If you haven’t already, make sure you have created a Nexon Account by clicking HERE.
• Load the Nexon Global Platform and log in to your Nexon Account.
• Click on the ALL GAMES button on the top navigation bar.
• Select Riders of Icarus on the bottom bar, then click on GAME PAGE.
• Click DOWNLOAD and the game will install. When done, you can then click PLAY and take flight!

For NEW players (Steam):

• If you haven’t already, make sure you have created a Nexon Account by clicking HERE.
• Load Steam and log in to your Steam account.
• Click on the STORE button on the top navigation bar.
• Search for Riders of Icarus, and click on the game page.
• Click DOWNLOAD and the game will install.
• When done, click PLAY and log in with your Nexon Account to take flight!

Please keep in mind that all data was wiped at the conclusion of the Phase 3 Closed Beta. However, there will be no more data wipes as we move into Open Beta!

Major Updates

Cash Shop

• Ellora’s Shop is now available! Get your hands on exciting items such as:
  • Ellun Packages
  • Premium Service: Available in 30, 90, and 180 day durations
  • Familiar Skin Lucky Boxes for both aerial and ground familiars
  • Six New Costumes including: Captain Uniform, Commander Uniform, Red Qipao, White Qipao, Pegasus Suit, and Hakanas Suit

Achievements

• You can now earn achievements as you play! Track your accomplishments as you play through the game and complete specific feats and objectives.
  • Achievements will be based on different types of gameplay including
    • Hunting specific types of creatures
    • Winning a specific number of PvP Duels
    • Taming a specific number of familiars
    • Completing dungeons on specific difficulties (Explained a bit further down
  • Repeatable Achievements that will reward Elluns are also available
    • These are repeatable daily, weekly, or monthly and are based on different types of gameplay
    • Difficulties: Normal, Elite, Heroic

Familiar Skins

• Familiar skins are available from events and can also be purchased in Ellora’s Shop:
  • You can view the skin options for the various familiars by going to the Bestiary. The Bestiary will show you the wide variety of familiars that you can capture as well as display the different types of obtainable skins.
  • Skins are separated into categories by different types of beasts: Steeds, Hunters, Brutes, Crawlers, Draconic, Birds, Others, Etc.
  • These categories are further broken down based on the type of creature. For example, Dragons and Drakes fall within the Draconic category while a Griffin, Eagle, Owl, Songbird or Phoenix would fall within the Birds category.

New Customizations

• Your options to customize your character’s look and feel has now expanded and includes the following options:
  • Hair Styles
  • Beards
  • Presets
• Beauty Shops (Beautician) have now been added to the game.
  • Turn in a Character Customization Voucher to change the appearance of your character.
  • NPC Edie can be found in the Market District of Hakain’s Crossing.

Bug Fixes and Known Issues and Modifications

Bug Fixes

• Players can now get up to the plateaus of The Broken Caldera where Scalleda resides. Attack Redfeather Eggs to summon Scalleda.
• The optional quest “Defeat Attaius” can now be completed.
• The issue that caused enemies to occasionally alternate between targeted and not targeted while using Action Mode has been resolved.
• An issue with the camera zoom feature has been fixed.
• UI text and windows have been improved.
• Improvements have been made to CPU and framerate.
• The Bestiary entry for Pluto doesn’t explain how to obtain it.
  • After Brakarr Gallant is killed in Hakain’s Crossing, there is a small chance that Pluto will summon. You can also check the Wiki page for information.
• The Bestiary entry for Albino Ashtail is cut off, and the taming conditions are unclear.
  • You can check the Wiki page for information about how to tame Albino Ashtail.
• The Bestiary entry for Scalleda has missing information.
  • Attack Redfeather Eggs in Broken Caldera for a chance that Scalleda will summon to protect its eggs. You can also check the Wiki page for information.
• You can block other players and will no longer see their messages displayed (Including Megaphones). Press [O] and click on ‘Blocked’ to see personal blocked list.
• Auction House pages are now clickable. (Previously you were not able to click on pages past 10).
• All familiar slots are selectable while Familiar inventory is minimized.
• Empty slots no longer appear when summoning pets.
• Recommendations will display for all weapon and armor types, not just for your current class.
• Fixed positioning of Lena so that she isn't displayed underground.
• Charge Skills #1- Error message ‘Invalid target’ has been removed when using charged skills
• Charge Skills #2 no longer gets stuck during the following actions:
  •   Pressing [Enter] while charging a skill
  •   Jumping while charging a skill
  •   Status Effect while charging (Stunned/Knock Back/Tripped/Etc.)
• “Phoenix in Need” #1 - Fixed issue where you could not mount Pyro if their own familiar was present. You will be dismounted from their own familiar and mounted onto Pyro.
• “Phoenix in Need” #2 - Fixed issue with flashing/blinking branches.
• Chacha the Shoulder Cat - 30 Day Expiration has been removed (Even though the item was permanent, the text stated that it would be removed in 30 days).
• Debug text will no longer appear when inventory is full.
• Fixed Issue with “Blue Flower Tea” and “Blue Flower Essence” having identical text.
• Crossbow and Lance will display “All Classes” under usable classes.
• Fixed error message for looting items of a different class.

Known Issues

Although we try to resolve every bug, some issues do slip through. Here are the current known issues for Head Start and Open Beta. If you run into any of these, please do not file a Bug Report. Know that we’re aware of them and they will be corrected in the future.

• The following aerial familiar skins (Luminous Benthic and White Benthic) currently have texture issues.
  • This will be fixed in a future update.
• The Priest skill ‘Divine Comfort’ is missing a description.
  • This is a ‘self-heal’ skill.
• The item ‘Taming Points Potion’ can be used even when players have full taming points.
  • This means that you could accidentally waste your Taming Points Potion if you use it while your points are full.
• The Red Qipao outfit appears black on male characters when previewed in Ellora’s Shop, and when equipped.
  • The Red Qipao outfit is actually meant to be red, but is currently displaying as black for male characters.
• The NPC Jeranin is missing from Divinity Shore.
  • This means you cannot acquire the Dragon Emblem for Taming ‘Agnas the Red’ (Dragon Mount).
• Using a ‘Warp Pass’ triggers the 3 minute cooldown of the Premium Service ‘Transit Shrine Pass’.
  • ‘Transit Shrine Pass’ and ‘Warp Passes’ are supposed to share cooldown functionality
• Un-Tracking completed quests cannot be seen in the quest log.
  • This means that if you stop tracking a completed quest, the quest cannot be found in the quest log.
• [UI] – Cash Inventory
  • ‘Claiming’ an item from the cash inventory will bring up the ‘Transfer’ message that will prevent additional interaction with the cash inventory. Users can simply close and re-open the cash inventory to have it functional again.
• [UI] – Beastiary
  • Some users who currently own the ‘Gilded Benthic’ familiar may have this familiar as ‘Not Acquired’ in their Bestiary. As a work around, affected users will have to acquire the familiar again in order to have this ‘acquired’.

Modifications

• A Bomb Icon will now be displayed on the quest list after accepted the “Destroy Braghin Ballista” quest's. 
• The “Familiar Ablaze” quest has been decreased in difficulty of the solo instance which includes
  • Ceiling damage was reduced 
  • Lava Golem casting speed was increased
  • Lava Golem cooldown time was increased
• Region chat has been removed from the following areas:
  • Brakarr Forest
  • Hakain’s Crossing
• The following nameplates and values will be set to default settings:
  • Your Name
  • NPC Names
  • Status Bar > Show Values > Numbers
• Action and Standard modes will now be saved upon log out. Example: If you log out while Action Mode is active, you will be in Action Mode upon login.

Welcome to Lochlann...

Long ago, Lochlann was a thriving town, filled with humans on an expansive plain. Then the Fomors came, driving the humans out of their homes. But now, ever since the Fomors took claim over Lochlann, something else has taken hold, corrupting the very earth and spawning creatures not meant for this world.

While some have their own theories about the corruption that has taken hold on the Lochlann Plains, the truth may only be found with hard work, an open mind... and a lot of luck. Those who have completed the story through Lugh Lamhfada should report to Marrec in Colhen to restart the story!

New Raid: Infected Eochaid

Deep below the plains of Lochlann lies a monstrous beast, Eochaid. Over a dozen meters tall, it was a fearsome opponent long before the seeping corruption that has befallen Lochlann entered his nest... but now it has been transformed into something else entirely.

Face off against the Infected Eochaid in Vindictus' newest Raid Battle. The powerful strikes from this beast would be enough to fell even the strongest warrior, but the corruption has infused it with terrible new power. With this newfound power, it moves effortlessly obliterating foes with powerful magic and summoning minions to spread the corruption further. Only a coordinated team of mercenaries can hope to evade his strikes and disable his powers long enough to slip in a finishing blow.

Those that manage to slay the beast may claim Eochaid's Essence, a rare and mysterious substance connected to the corruption itself. Brynn in Colhen remains his inventive self, however, and will be able to transform this essence into one of two new powerful earrings, Innocent Cry and Innocent Tear.

Enchant Scrolls in the Marketplace

With the Lochlann: Plains of Corruption update, we've lifted the restriction on selling non-Permanent Enchant Scrolls on the Marketplace! Instead of throwing a rare but unwanted scroll at the nearest vendor for a paltry sum, you're now able to list them on the Marketplace and find the scroll a good home. The scrolls will still expire once purchased, so make sure you use it promptly!

Meet Delia, Nobility's Finest

Delia wields a two-handed Bastard Sword, a heavy blade whose size is only exceeded by Hurk's massive Greatswords. The young princess has been trained to use the full length of the blade with each swing, using her momentum to plow through her foes.

Vindictus' classic Combo style forms the backbone to Delia's offense. She uses Normal attacks to disrupt her foes, using the long blade to cleave through the enemy horde, and then transitions into a Smash attack to send them flying with a massive blow. Her Rising and Falling Comet Smashes form the pinnacle of her style. After three Normal attacks and a Smash, Delia can either immediately carve an arc before her with the Rising Comet Smash, or wait for a moment, get in position and bring her massive sword down with the powerful Falling Comet.

Delia is not without some special attacks, however. After building up SP by bisecting a few Fomors, Delia can unleash powerful attacks, including Ion Thrust's quick thrust forward, rushing forward and driving her sword through the fools before her, or Full Moon, where Delia dances through her foes, the Bastard Sword carving open her path before finishing with one massive swing.

Delia's most unique ability is Zenith. Summoning the vast power granted to her, she can explode with power to boost her strength to its limit. As Delia becomes a true juggernaut of power, each swing will hit harder, her skin will become as hard as diamond and her sword will move faster than ever before! The only downside is that the spell has a habit of sundering her own armor, leaving her weakened once the spell fades.

Delia brings new outfits to Vindictus as well, with two gorgeous ensembles linked to the stars themselves. Karok's even gotten into the act with his own unique addition to the shop. With new packages, new hairstyles and inner armors and a special leveling package for nobility's finest daughter herself, there's going to be something for everyone!

When you log in to Vindictus after the update goes live, the FREE Delia Coronation Pack will be sent (via the in-game mail system) to the mercenary at the top of your character list on your account. When you log in and receive the package within your in-game mail, you will have 30 days to open the package before it expires. The Delia Coronation Pack can only be opened by a Delia character. The Delia Coronation Pack is tradeable and can be sent to your Delia character immediately. The contents of the Delia Coronation Pack cannot be transferred once the package is opened.
